Studios Plaka Terms & Conditions

These Studios Plaka Terms & Conditions (“Terms and Conditions“) are entered between you (“User“, “You“, “Guest(s)”) and the operator of this website (the “Operator”, the “Website“, “Studios Plaka”, “We”) and will govern your use of this website and any of the services and/or products offered and/or provided to you hereunder and/or in connection thereby by the Operator. Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using or accessing this Website and/or the Services and making any booking. Your use of this Website and/or the Services constitutes your agreement to all such terms, conditions, and notices, as stipulated below and updated by us from time to time. If you do not agree with the Terms and Conditions then you are not authorized to, and must not use this Website and/or the Services.

Room rate. The rate per room per night includes accommodation, use of common sitting areas in the resort, internet access (public spaces and in-room), room amenities stated in the room overview for each studio or apartment, linen, access to beach and parking. The room rate includes 13% tax per room per night and 0.5€ city tax per room per night. The room rate also includes mandatory residence tax of 0.5€ per room per night. The room rate does not include other services such as, but not limiting to, extra beds, fresh fruit welcome basket, port transfer, Studios Plaka fishing day cruise or mountain hike. A baby crib is offered for free if the total number of guests, including the baby, does not exceed the maximum number of occupants in each room, as stated in the room overview and in the additional occupant Charge section below.

Coupon codes. You have the option to enter a coupon code provided by us to our members through social media or our newsletter to receive a discount on your booking. By signing up to our newsletter or following us in social media, you are automatically considered our member and can access exclusive prices through the use of coupon codes. In addition, coupon codes can be given to frequent visitors of our website or during sales period. Using a coupon code, the user agrees and is considered to be a member of Studios Plaka. All members have access to lower prices through coupon codes.

Payments. All reservations must be confirmed by paying Studios Plaka 30% of the total price, the hereafter “deposit”. There are three options to pay the deposit to Studios Plaka. First, you can pay at the time of booking by credit card supervised by the official plugin of the national bank of Greece. Second, you can pay by Paypal. Third, you have the option to make an electronic bank transfer and provide us with proof of payment by email within two hours after time of booking. Please, email us the proof of transfer within two hours upon reservation at [email protected], or your booking will not be valid and therefore cancelled. In all cases, Studios Plaka must receive the whole amount in its account; any bank or other fees burden the guest. Only online credit card payments are accepted. If you want to pay by a credit card which belongs to a 3rd party (e.g. corporate clients), you must provide us with a signed credit card authorization form bearing the signature of the credit card’s holder, as well as advise the 3rd party client in writing and obtain their written and signed consent to use their card/s.  Non-compliance with this condition will constitute a major breach of agreement. You will cover immediately in full all and any charge backs which might be filed against us by any 3rd party, for reservations paid with credit cards, by your company and staff online on our reservations system/s/, without right to dispute. The remaining amount equal to 70% of the total booking price will be paid in the resort, either by cash or credit card.

Additional Occupant Charge. There is an additional charge of 10€ per night per room, above the maximum number of occupants in each room, as stated here. The maximum number of occupants is three for Filoxenia couple, Artemis and Aphrodite studios, four for Athena and Filoxenia Family studios and five for the Zeus apartment. Studios Plaka can only offer one extra bed per room or one baby crib. Thus, Studios Plaka cannot host more than the maximum number of occupants, stated above, plus one in each room. Occupants include adults, children and/or babies. Baby cribs are offered for free.

Check In/Check Out. Check in time is 14:00 on arrival day and check out time is 12:00 on departure day. At check-in, guests are required by law to register at Studios Plaka official books. Government-issued photo ID is required for proof of identification. If the guests have not cleared the room until 11:00 in departure day, 50% of the daily room rate is charged. The guests can also ask for late checkout option, which is subject to availability.

Late arrival. Studios Plaka keeps the rooms booked for you until 9:00 p.m. local time on the day of arrival. If you are arriving to the resort after this hour, you must advise us at the time of booking by providing your estimated arrival time. Should you fail to do so our resort will have the right to resell the room, and might not be able to accommodate you when you arrive. Please note that additional/cancelation charges may apply in these events. Providing us with the “late arrival” information is your responsibility, and we will not be held liable for any problems arising out of your failure to do so.

Taxes. Estimated taxes are based on current tax rates which are subject to change as required by applicable law. Taxes may include lodging tax, sales tax, entertainment tax, etc. Lodging taxes apply to the basic room rate, additional per occupant charges, upgrades, as well as any other charges as required by applicable law. Additional taxes not paid, if any, will be due upon check-out.

Cancelation/Refund of Deposit/No-show. The 30% of total price deposit is fully refundable, minus any applicable bank transfer fees, provided a timely notice of cancellation is received by email at [email protected] or call at +0030 694429604 at least 60 days/1440 hours prior to 13:00 of arrival date (Eastern European Time). Cancellations less than 60 days/1440 hours before your scheduled arrival (and no shows) will result in a forfeiture of the whole deposit. Any cancellation made on the day of arrival will be considered a fail to show up at the resort (“No-Show”), in which case we have the right to charge the reservation in full, and we are not obligated to inform about it at any stage.

Room Status. Studios Plaka reserves the right to check the status of all rooms/suites at any time.

Responsibility for Damages. You agree that you are liable for all damages to the room(s) caused by you or your guests/invitees during your stay.

Smoking Policy. Rooms and suites are non-smoking. If there is evidence of smoking in your non-smoking accommodation, you will stay liable to any applicable laws and may be charged a deep cleaning fee plus any applicable tax. Please note that e-cigs, vapors etc. fall under our non-smoking policy. Cleaning fees will be applied to smoking in areas that are non-smoking. We have designated smoking areas throughout the resort and other areas where you may smoke. Contact a resort employee for location information regarding designated smoking areas. Most sitting areas are smoke-free. In all cases, information on spoking policy can be informed by the resort owner.

Should your plans require you to extend your departure date, please check with the resort owner on room availability, but note that your rate is subject to change.

Room Requests. Every effort will be made to accommodate your requests for specific room type and location. Ηowever, we are unable to guarantee any requests as rooms are not assigned until check in. Additional fees plus applicable taxes may apply depending on the specific requests.

Age Requirement. (18+). At the minimum, one guest per room must be at least 18 years of age in order to check into the room and resort.

Miscellaneous. Please notify the resort owner immediately if there are any errors to name, rate or length of stay. Room rates, resort fees, additional occupant charges, cancellation fees, and cleaning fees are based on rates and fees applicable at time of booking your reservation, not at time of check-in (unless date of booking/check-in are the same or as otherwise provided herein). Applicable taxes are computed at the rate required by law at the time of the applicable transaction.

Marketing. By providing your e-mail address, street address, and/or other contact information, you consent to receiving marketing and promotional e-mails, direct mail, and other communications (electronic or otherwise) from Studios Plaka. Safes. In-room fireproof safes are provided for guests to deposit their valuables in the Aphrodite and Zeus rooms. Studios Plaka will not be responsible for valuables lost during your stay in our resort.

Use of Accommodations. Resort rooms and sitting areas are intended solely for the purpose of overnight lodging and accommodation and may not be utilized for exhibition and/or sale of goods, products, wares or services, and/or for any other commercial activity other than networking, without first receiving the separate written consent of Studios Plaka. Without limiting the forgoing, should you utilize your room(s) for any commercial activity, you hereby agree to indemnify, defend and hold Studios Plaka, subsidiaries and affiliates, free, clear and harmless from, and against, any and all claims and liabilities in connection with such activities.

Parking. Private parking is provided for free in our resort.

Dogs/Pet Policy. Studios Plaka is generally pet friendly but prior consent must be given to bring your pet at Studios Plaka. Guests must, at the time of booking, notify the resort of any pets they shall bring with them. Pets are not allowed to enter Aphrodite and/or Zeus rooms unless prior consent is given by Studios Plaka.

Complaints/comments. Any complaint/comment regarding one’s stay at our properties should be brought forward directly to us at one’s earliest convenience so that it can be dealt within the shortest time possible.

General Information. Although every effort has been made to ensure the accuracy of the information set out on our website and marketing campaigns, we cannot accept responsibility for any errors or omissions, and reserve the right to vary, amend, supplement or cancel any of the information or offers featured on our websites or email campaigns at any time. At all times, Studios Plaka, including this website and its Terms and Conditions, aim to abide by the Greek law. In case of any Terms and Conditions errors that contradict with the Greek law, the latter is in effect but the rest Terms and Conditions still apply.

Studios Plaka may at any time, at its sole discretion, cease the operation of the Website or any part thereof, temporarily or permanently, extend in terms of content and form, correct, modify, amend, enhance, improve and make any other changes thereto or discontinue displaying or providing any information, content or features therein without giving any prior notice. You agree and acknowledge that Operator does not assume any responsibility with respect to, or in connection with the termination of the Website’s operation and/or loss of any data.
